She’s beautiful, she’s talented, she’s rich and now she has over 9 million subscribers on YouTube. She is also a published author and has her own beauty line. Not bad for a 25 year old whose job is to make videos about her life.
Zoe Sugg, famously known as Zoella is a British YouTube fashion and beauty vlogger, author and all round internet sensation. Creating videos and blog posts since 2009, Zoella has become one of the most popular and influential beauty gurus in the ‘YouTubing’ world.
And on Saturday she hit a major milestone – 9 million, yes MILLION, YouTube subscribers.
After hitting the milestone, she wrote on Twitter: “WAAAAAAAAAAH! There’s now 9 MILLION of you. I am so thankful and grateful for all of your constant support and love.”
Zoe’s videos include makeup tutorials, beauty, fashion and homeware hauls, monthly favourite videos as well as well as life advice videos. Her enormous online success has allowed her to translate her passion and talents beyond the internet world.
In September 2014, Zoe launched a range of bath and beauty products under the brand name Zoella Beauty. It fast became a best seller with the Metro calling it ‘the biggest beauty launch of the year’.
And in November of the same year, she signed a two-book deal with Penguin Books. Her debut novel Girl Online which was released on the 25th November, outsold JK Rowling and EL James to become the fastest selling debut novel since records began. A sequel is due for release in October 2015. Now THAT is an achievement to be proud of!
Zoe has won multiple awards for her work including ‘Best British Blogger’ at the Radio 1 awards, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for ‘UK Favourite Vlogger’ and a Teen Choice Award for ‘Choice Web Star: Fashion/Beauty’.
Zoe has always been one to praise and thank her viewers for their incredible and ongoing support. She is great advocate of YouTube as a creative outlet and is a massive believer that she would not be in the position she is today if it weren’t for her dedicated followers.
